Shrimp Tacos: A Surprisingly Simple Meal To Prepare

If you’re in the mood for a quick bite to eat but don’t want to waste too much time in the kitchen, shrimp tacos are your solution. Not only are these tacos quick to make, they are also quite tasty. The next time you have a date over or are watching a ball game with your buddies, surprise them with this delicious recipe and be amazed at how much everybody likes them. This recipe is so simple, you can’t possibly mess this one up!


  • Shrimp (pre-cooked or un-cooked, you decide…just be sure to ask the store attendant for the right amount of pounds per person)
  • Seasoning Salt
  • Mayonnaise
  • Corn Tortillas
  • 1/2 Purple Onion for two persons
  • 1/4 Cabbage
  • 1 Tomato
  • 1/2 cup of Cilantro
  • 4 Lemons


For Toppings:

  1. Cut 1/4 cabbage into thin slices and place in bowl
  2. Cut tomato into thick chunks and place in bowl
  3. Cut cilantro into 1/2 cup and place in bowl
  4. Cut purple onion into small squares and place in bowl
  5. Cut 4 lemons into halves. Squeeze 1 lemon into bowl

For Shrimp:

  1. If shrimp is not cooked simply put shrimp in pot with water
  2. Heat pot until water is boiling
  3. Drain water from shrimp and season with seasoning salt (just enough for flavor)
  4. Grill shrimp in pan for 5 minutes until shrimp is crispy
  5. Place in bowl

How to Eat:

  1. Warm tortillas on grill
  2. Spread mayonnaise on tortillas
  3. Add shrimp
  4. Add toppings
  5. Add lemon as needed for flavor
