Like most Apple users, I was at first frustrated with OS X Lion because it felt too much like my iPhone and not like my MacBook. I was confused as to why everything was backwards and even contemplated downgrading back to Snow Leopard for fear of learning an entirely new operating system. Well, it only took me a few weeks to realize that Lion wasn’t only easier and better than Snow Leopard, it’s also the best OS ever devised. The reason is simple: we’re used to our iPhones. Sure, we may be on the computer 8 hours a day, but when we’re away from our desks we’re usually swiping away with our thumbs. It was only natural for the evolution of OS X to fuse with iOS and the result was something spectacular. With Mountain Lion, Apple takes iOS integration even further with over 200+ new features that will turn your computer into a SuperMachine. Among some of the new upgrades are Notification Center, Messages, Reminder, Notes, and Sharing. For a complete overview of what Mountain Lion is capable of, read this.
