Vans has been a California style icon since it first opened it’s doors in the city of Anaheim in 1966. What started off as a small rubber factory by two brothers and a couple of friends soon launched the popularity of California culture, skateboarding, and surfing worldwide. Now, nearly 50 years later, Vans is going back to it’s roots with the launch of an apparel brand that is based on the California aesthetic that made them successful. Only a few items are available right now but more are expected to be in the works and available soon. Take a look at the current collection which features the Carlsbad jacket, the Carpinteria Fleece, the Asilomar knit and the Butano woven. The highlight of the collection though is the Adelanto backpack which features a red bear tag symbolizing the flag of California.
