…Andrew Luck from Stanford University!
You’re probably not surprised with this announcement because it’s been talked about endlessly since Peyton Manning hit the IR last season. But now that it’s official, we have to wonder is this the right choice?
The Colts flew in Andrew Luck for several private workouts and interviews and decided not to waste their time with Robert Griffin III, who won the Heisman Trophy last year. Apparently the scouts see something in Andrew that they don’t see in RG3 that they didn’t even bother contacting him.
Griffin III will most likely be the number 2 overall pick and land at Washington where he will have a much solid, yet underperforming team than Luck. Only time will tell if the Colts are making the right choice.
Luck threw for 3,517 yards and 37 touchdowns with 10 interceptions in leading Stanford to a trip to the Fiesta Bowl last season.
